Stockton- Tyler, The Creator is a very well known artist and has some upcoming concerts from February – July of 2025. Many people are super excited and cannot wait for the days of the concerts and getting to see him in person either for the first time or have seen him before. Considering this album is still new, which was released near the end of October, people still have enough time to learn the lyrics and possibly learn more about Tyler and how he is at his concerts. His concerts from what I’ve seen are pretty good and from others that I know who’ve been to some of his other concerts were that they were good and fun.
I interviewed Lincoln student Nylah Missouri on the song that stood out to her the most on the album and she said: “My favorite song on CHROMPAKOPIA is balloon because Tyler is able to feature a black female, an underground hip hop artist and introduces her into the world of rap. Sheś able to express herself freely and spiritually along the side of Tyler with no regards for those who might disagree with Tyler’s artist of choice.”
I talked to another Lincoln student, Isabella Hernandez and this is what she had to say about the upcoming Tyler the Creator concerts: “Tyler, the Creator’s performance on his Call Me If You Get Lost tour was one of the best and most exciting experiences. He brings a huge and incredible energy to the stage, engaging with his audience. His visuals and props such as the boat he rode across the “crowd” was the cherry on the top of his tour. His design and decorations reflected the themes of his 2021 album, creating a one of a kind experience.” I expect many visuals and a bigger presence to top his last tour. All of his albums have huge different heartfelt and deep meanings, so I am hoping there are great visuals and him explaining more about how he came to create this album.
My personal views on the Album Chromakopia
My favorite song on the Chromakopia album is ‘Darling, I.’ The song includes heartfelt lyrics about love and personal growth. The combination of the powerful lyrics paired with the soulful and sweet melodies remind me of the beats and melody from the ‘Sweet/I thought you wanted to dance’ song from his Call Me If You Get Lost album. It’s a perfect example of Tyler’s unique blend of storytelling and unique rhythms.
My opinion about the CHROMAKOPIA world tour is from what I’ve heard around about his old concerts is that everyone there sings to almost every song he plays, everyone is involved with him and his music, sometimes Tyler does random things on the stage, has many mixed emotions on stage when going through his songs. My favorite song on the album is Darling, because it’s a really catchy song and explains how he is falling in love with someone while trying to focus on other things and how he can’t stay true to one person for a great amount of time as he would like to be involved with other people. He’s afraid of commitment and doesn’t know how to go about it.
