Stockton- Fake celebrity relationships have been a notable part of Hollywood’s landscape, often designed to create good publicity, boost careers, or distract from personal controversies. It can be something YouTubers and Celebrities do; there’s a difference between being famous and being a celebrity. Many people love celebrities, people in movies, people who create music, and people who are prominent in the public eye; famous people are people a significant majority know more based on the apps YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram. People who become famous from those things are not entirely up to the celebrity name yet. These famous people and celebrities have views and supporters, people who look up to them and like them for what they do. Supporters come of all ages, so publicity is a way to get people’s eyes on them in various ways by doing something you know people will like and be invested in. We will sometimes never see if it was fake unless they come out and say it is fake. The purpose is to cover it and hide it the best they can. Faking relationships is a calculated move within the entertainment industry, driven by the desire for publicity, career growth, and image management. While these staged romances can be beneficial in the short term, they also blur the lines between authenticity and performance, affecting how fans perceive love and relationships in the celebrity world. This manipulation of public opinion can make fans feel disappointed and skeptical, as they may find it hard to tell the difference between genuine relationships and ones created for publicity. Over time, this can break down trust and create unrealistic ideas about love and relationships, affecting how people view them.
