Stockton- Lincoln High School’s Polynesian Club is hosting their Annual Luau here at Lincoln on April 12th, 2025! Their Luau features dances from the many islands of Polynesia such as Tahiti, Fiji, Hawaii, Tonga, and Samoa. The event also provides their guests with food that is included with the tickets and raffle baskets that you can participate in if you choose. Students who attend Lincoln High School get a discount on tickets, only having to pay $20 instead of the usual $40 for an adult ticket. However, this deal does not apply to students who attend other schools, and is only available to Lincoln High students. Children 5-13 pay $20 as well and anyone under 5 is free to attend but it is asked that you contact the club in some form so they are aware of how many people are attending. Tickets are on sale till March 31st and you can purchase a ticket online using the link on the flyer which is the Lincoln High School Webstore or buying them in the Activities Office from Mr. Gadeke.
Polynesian Club has hosted their luau’s for many years and all money that is raised at the event goes towards the club and helps fund their future events. More specifically, the costumes, food, and materials they use to help create the immersive experience they provide is funded by the money raised at the luau. A lot of effort, time, and commitment has gone into the luau so any support from family and friends is greatly appreciated. If you are a student at Lincoln, there is also a volunteer opportunity for you. Polynesian club is looking for volunteers to help serve food at their event; any help would be greatly appreciated. If you are interested you can email Mrs. Myers or talk to Stockton Scholars, a volunteer based club here at Lincoln that can provide you with additional information about the event.
Year round Poly Club performs for the school but at the Luau, they showcase new dances that haven’t been seen before and demonstrate the hard work they have put in throughout the whole school year. If you know any seniors in the club then this is also a great opportunity to show your support for them as they are given an opportunity to have the spotlight be just on them for a section of the event. With there being more time during the Luau rather than a 5 minute window during school, they are able to showcase more intricate performances and have more extravagant outfits that fit each culture they are representing.
So, if you have time and are able to attend the event I highly recommend you do so! It showcases the students of the club’s hard work and benefits them so they can keep the tradition of Polynesian Club alive in the future. You can follow Polynesian Club on Instagram: @lhs_polyclub for more information and updates in regards to the event. Also, you can stop by and talk to their teacher advisor Mrs. Myers. Their President Xeanna Samifua and Vice President Liyah Moncevais are also people you can contact in regards to anything related to the club if you have any questions or want more information on the event. On behalf of Polynesian Club, we hope to see you there!
