Stockton- Entering the 2025-2026 season the Lincoln Trojans underwent new changes to the staff by bring in new head coach Latef Grim. Coach Grim was previously the wide receivers coach for the Trojans. Yet leading team practices in the offseason he earned his role of head coach.
Heading into the season opener against McNair, Coach Grim was asked how the team is preparing under the new system. He responded by saying, ”The biggest thing is to get them to pay attention to details and execute on their roles”. He explained, ”Playing with confidence is one of our main focuses.”
Coach also spoke on preparations for the game and mindset of the season, emphasizing the bigger picture of the program and its future. “To really come out and change the culture, change the perspective of peoples thoughts of the team and its future. And make it when people are proud to be a Lincoln Trojan again.” To conclude his thoughts before the game and describe the season in three words, he exclaimed, ”LIGHT IT UP”.
