Trojans vs Hawks
September 25, 2025
Stockton- The Hawks beat the Trojans in the first flag football home game of the season. The Trojans lost 27-8. The girls played well; although there were some mistakes on the field, they tried hard and played as a team. When interviewed before the game, Amaya Stenson, a junior at Lincoln high school said that one thing they stick to is this saying that goes: ¨Never put the blame on someone else. We lose as a team, we win as a team. One heartbeat, one goal, one family.¨ Jaylee Thurston, 3rd year player and junior at Lincoln, said she felt great about the upcoming season and that she has trust in her team to win the game. Something Jaylee said she enjoys about the sport is the bonds she makes from playing the game. The girls flag football team has a great coach who has been coaching their team for 3 years. In addition to coaching flag football, Coach Kai works as a campus supervisor at Lincoln and she also coaches our girls softball team. She believes that the girls have real potential. She says that their secret to success is to ¨cheer on their sisters and keep running.¨ Even though the team lost, they played hard and supported each other.
Be sure to catch the Trojans’ next Flag Football game on October 6th when they will face off against Merrill West High School on our home field. JV starts at 6:00 pm and varsity starts at 7:00 pm. Tickets can be purchased on the GoFan app.
