Stockton- Recently in Mrs. Ellis’ class, students have been working on their artistic skills during Arts Block by learning more about two famous artists Georgia O’Keeffe, and Pablo Picasso and putting their own spin on some of their most famous pieces of art. To share their opinions on their art project, Riley Deangelo and Gilberto Udave spoke with their teacher Mrs. Ellis who shared their amazing artwork!
Deangelo: “We learned about Pablo Picasso and how he uses colors and designs. I really liked picking my bright colors and using different shapes. I also think mine looks cool and silly.”
Deangelo’s amazing artwork demonstrates her strong artistic abilities and highlights how she is able to express her identity and creative abilities through the vibrant and beautiful artwork. Seems like this 3rd grade class has the next Picasso in their classroom!
Udave: “I like this project because I used my favorite color green, with an orange background and I like flowers.”
Udave’s artwork highlights O’Keefe’s goal of demonstrating the beauty of nature while also putting his own personal spin on the visual representation of the artwork. We can’t wait to see more work from this amazing young artist!
Both of these pieces of art are beautiful and tell different stories while still highlighting the individuality of these very creative students. Stay tuned for more artwork and feature stories from the desk of students in Mrs. Ellis’ 3rd grade class!
