Stockton- Thanksgiving is a holiday where families and friends come together to celebrate and give thanks for what they have. It’s a day filled with delicious food and fun activities. People usually cook big meals like turkey, mashed potatoes with gravy, stuffing, green bean casserole, cranberry sauce, sweet potatoes, and warm rolls. For dessert, there are often pumpkin pies, apple pies, and other sweet treats.
Besides eating, families enjoy spending time together. Some people watch the Thanksgiving Day parade or football games on tv, while others play games outside, like football or tag. Many families take time to share what they are thankful for before eating. After the big meal, everyone relaxes, talks, or watches movies together during this special holiday season. Overall, Thanksgiving is not just about the food, its about being grateful, spending time with loved ones, and enjoying the traditions that bring everyone closer together to have a great time.
We interviewed some LHS students about Thanksgiving and here’s what they had to say:

My favorite dish is baked macaroni & cheese, with extra cheese and garnished with parsley, or lobster macaroni & cheese. It’s only been made once but it was amazing. My favorite activity to do is hanging out with my cousins and walking around our neighborhood.
