Stockton- Born on April 3, 1986 in Thousand Oaks, California to two parents in the dental careers (Rick Bynes and Lynn Bynes). She was born into a supportive home environment, and her parents got her into acting at age 10 when they sent her to a kids’ comedy camp where she was scouted by a Nickelodeon producer while she was performing.
Before that, she was in theater and acted in local productions like Annie, the Secret Garden, and The Music Man. She even aired in commercials at age 7 for Crunch candies and Taco Bell.

Substance Abuse & Mental Health:
Despite a loving and comedic image on the outside, Bynes struggled with mental health issues and substance abuse. At age 16 she began smoking marijuana and progressed her way into the drug. However, it was the Adderall pill that twisted her life for the worse. Known for being the “skinny pill” to stay thin, Bynes began faking ADD to a psychiatrist to get a hold of the drugs and would chew on the tablets to get high which led her to drop out of the film “and was replaced by Alexandra Daddario. In a September 2012 interview, Bynes clarified her acting status, telling People, “I am retired as an actor. I am moving to New York to launch my career. I am going to do a fashion line (Wikipedia).”
The Path to Recovery
Amaynda Bynes eventually recovered from substance abuse and was able to stay clean but struggled with intense body issues, especially in film Easy A. Her parents were granted a conservatorship to handle her money while she was in an unstable state of mind and, despite her occasional drawbacks, Bynes has been on the path of recovery and uses social media to engage with her fans and update her improvements in her daily life.
